Original Two Geckos

Leah - I have had Leah for about 2 or 3 months now. She is a Bell Albino. I am going to breed her when she gets old enough.

Leo - I have had Leo for about 2 or 3 years now. I recieved him and his tank from a friend. Leo really sparked my interest in Leopard Geckos.

Where are Leopard Geckoes found in the wild? What is their native habitat like? Are nocturnal or diurnal? Are they social or solitary?

The native habitat of the leopard gecko is the rocky, dry grassland and desert regions of south-Asian Afghanistan, Pakistan, north-west India, and parts of Iran.

Their native habitat is dry rocky terrain. They do live in the desert, but do not confuse their rocky desert with the stereotypical sandy desert.

Leopard Geckos are nocturnal, meaning they only come out at night, but do sometimes appear during the day.

Leopard geckos are solitary. They do however get along with other geckos, except for two males. Two males will fight and harm or kill each other. A male and a female will get along fine, but then there is the risk of the female being over breed. Two or more females will get along just fine.
